and<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Texts from those who have stayed in the house.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We want more than texts that are filled with compliments (which will obviously leave us very reassured), we hope that you mention what touched your soul, for it was the attempt at recreating a family environment, cosy and with personality, as close as possible to OUR (YOUR) own house, that made us take the choices we did while rehabilitating the property, of a HOUSE that means so much to our family. E come\u00e7a uma viagem num espa\u00e7o muito bem aproveitado para receber futuros viajantes e em que se percebe que cada pormenor foi pensado cuidadosamente e, sobretudo, com amor. \u00c9 verdade, a hist\u00f3ria desta casa \u00e9 uma prova, um acto de amor \u00e0 personagem que d\u00e1 nome a este alojamento.<\/p>\n<p>Os m\u00f3veis de fam\u00edlia, os quadros, as fotografias e as cer\u00e2micas dos amigos tudo se conjuga para criar um ambiente acolhedor e que, certamente, ir\u00e1 proporcionar belos momentos a quem aqui vier.<\/p>\n<p>E n\u00e3o \u00e9 s\u00f3 a decora\u00e7\u00e3o, pois neste caso houve a jun\u00e7\u00e3o perfeita da forma e da fun\u00e7\u00e3o. Uma cozinha moderna, equipada com todos os electrodom\u00e9sticos e at\u00e9 um kit de primeiros socorros, salas luminosas com sof\u00e1s confort\u00e1veis para ver televis\u00e3o e ler um bom livro, objectos que nos fazem remontar \u00e0 nossa inf\u00e2ncia &#8211; pelo menos os da minha gera\u00e7\u00e3o, quartos muito bem decorados e onde, mais uma vez, se nota o bom gosto dos decoradores. Art Apartments, to best assess the space. <\/p>\n<p>There I came across a recently restored building, located in the historical area of Set\u00fabal, with a set of characteristics that meet the needs of those who desire to discover the city.<\/p>\n<p>Situated in the heart of Set\u00fabal, in a pedestrian area with excellent access to both the bus and train stations, it has all the essential facilities for those who travel, such as air conditioning, free WIFI in all areas, flat TV screen, good soundproofing, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Ideal place for those interested in shopping, art and architecture. Public parking is available at a nearby location (no reservation possible) and, along with a very neat and clean space, as well as the congeniality of those who welcomed me, the necessary conditions to have a great stay while discovering Se\u00fabal are created. Professionally speaking, I came across a product with an excellent price-quality ratio and I will continue to recommend it to those who visit us. Several years later, his son came and lived with us as well.<\/p>\n<p>From those experiences, we developed a relationship with the entire Pocas family. My wife Kathy and I have had the opportunity to travel to Portugal three times and have been hosted by Ze and Ana in their home.<\/p>\n<p>The only thing that equals their hospitality is Ze\u2019s knowledge and love of all things Portuguese including the country, the rich history, the food, and the culture. Ze organized several adventures in which we experienced Portugal in a way that not even the Portuguese have. We were able to see Portugal through a cultural, culinary and historical perspective.<\/p>\n<p>Ze knows how to put together an itinerary that is entertaining and exciting, with many opportunities to learn something special each trip, which makes it an exceptional experience.<\/p>\n<p>On the topic of food, we tasted Portuguese dishes that we would never have tried, without his encouragement. The key to cuisine in Portugal is the company in which the experience takes place. Ze has such a network of friends, family, and colleagues that he constantly puts together groups of people that make each experience rich and exciting.<\/p>\n<p>I recommend Ze as an excellent host. He is the best in promoting and experiencing all things Portuguese. After 17 years in Portugal I returned to my home country in 2016 and today I am a Clinical Director of a national referral centre in the follow-up of patients with infectious and humanitarian diseases that belongs to the Franciscan Order of the Friars Minor. <\/p>\n<p>I am a very lucky person and consider myself a privileged one, because, despite being a lower middle class Guinean, I was given the opportunity of a very good education, in all areas, starting with the family.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Po\u00e7as is a very important pillar in my life, contributing to what I am today, both professionally and personally. I crossed paths with that amazing Doctor and human being during my 3rd year of specialty in Set\u00fabal My specialty adviser was Dr. V\u00edtor Augusto, when we were defining my training plan he saw my interest in infectious diseases and told me that if I wanted to dominate the area I had Dr Jos\u00e9 Po\u00e7as, an internist, infecciologist and one of the most humane professionals that the Hospital had and would happily teach me infecciology. I thought to myself, Dr Po\u00e7as? Scary! My encounters with him were in the emergency room and I saw him as a great doctor, but someone who &#8220;shouted&#8221; and seemed to frighten everyone. Laughter&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>As soon as I finished my post-graduate course at the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in Lisbon, I started to attend the infecciology appointments twice a week alongside Dr Po\u00e7as. I was very scared and anxious during the first week. I soon realised that up-close there was no \u201cscreaming\u201d kindness and respect for myself and the patients, which made that query a space of fascination. There I learned infecciology, internal medicine, as well as true Socratic medicine. The patients were mostly vulnerable ones and had social difficulties. In the doctor&#8217;s office each patient was the focal point of the consultation, giving them the confidence to keep up the patient-doctor relationship, an important relationship in the follow-up of patients with chronic diseases. His knowledge beyond medicine made possible to have other types of conversation in accordance with the patients\u2019 interest. <\/p>\n<p>During the last three years of my specialty I had two advisors, both incredible people who made me who I am today. Two years after finishing my specialty, I ended up in the Infection Service headed by Dr. Po\u00e7as. In a very short amount of time, I was allowed to train in travel medicine, viral hepatitis and HIV. These tools allowed for an increase of courage that helps with the challenges I face today as a doctor. I also learned from him what it is to be a true leader. This has been very helpful in my new job, but I could still use a deeper voice to \u201cshout\u201d in a serious manner just like he did. Laughter&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Today I hold Dr Jos\u00e9 Po\u00e7as as family, a master, boss and friend for life. I have no doubt. Whenever I am in trouble I turn to him knowing he will be there for me. A proof of this friendship was when he decided to spend the holidays with his wife in Bissau to get to know the country and my new world. I couldn\u2019t believe it. I was so pleased with their visit. There, I took them to the hospital; we made a medical visit on a Saturday morning to all the complicated cases that afflicted me in that infinite of lives, beds and pathologies. As always, immediate solutions emerged, procedures were made, and there I was, the eternal student. Touring Cacheu was only possible after solving the patients\u2019 problems that Saturday. <br \/>I hold the Po\u00e7as family to highest regard.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jamila Bathy &#8211; MD, internal medicine specialist, tropical health postgraduate.
